Main skimmer line cracked and auto fill return had a leak

The homeowner contacted ID The Leak after adding water to his pool every week for nearly two years. Constantly dragging a hose to the pool was frustrating, and the ongoing water loss was also affecting his water usage and pool chemistry.

Our inspection identified two separate areas of concern:

Underground skimmer line leak: Pressure testing showed a significant pressure loss, and acoustic testing located the compromised pipe approximately 12–16 inches behind the main skimmer.

Auto-fill area leak: Dye testing and hydrophone inspection identified water being pulled into a void beneath the auto-fill opening.

The auto-fill area was temporarily sealed, and the skimmer line was isolated to stop continued water loss until the permanent repairs could be completed.

Tired of dragging a hose to your pool every week? Constantly adding water can waste money and make it harder to maintain proper pool chemistry. If your pool is losing water, let ID The Leak help find out where it's going.

Stop chasing the water. Find the leak.
